Etta Faye
A Short Introduction
I grew up in Southern California, where I developed a love for Mid-Century and Art Deco design. Regular exposure to places like Pasadena, Disneyland, and Las Vegas sparked an appreciation for the craftsmanship, creativity, and architectural design of that bygone era.
Living in Northern California for my college years, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, with a concentration in Ecological Restoration. That education and immersion into nature taught me a deep respect for the natural world and instilled a commitment to sustainability and efficiency throughout both my personal life and my business practices.
Artist Statement
I create handcrafted original lighting that combines functional design and collectible art.
Inspired by the stories, places, and cultural touchstones that shape our memories, each piece combines artisan woodworking, original illustration, precision digital printing, and a radiant glow to evoke a sense of nostalgia while feeling entirely new.
Every lamp is conceived, designed, and handcrafted by me, Etta Faye. Maintaining complete control over every stage of the process allows me to uphold uncompromising standards of quality, longevity, and meticulous attention to detail, while celebrating the natural character and individuality of the wood itself. Each lamp is numbered, maker inscribed, and embellished with my brand brass hallmark. I make an effort to use efficient, recycled, and recyclable packaging whenever possible and strive to support local and small businesses throughout my lamp making process.
I believe the most meaningful work grows through collaboration. By partnering with artists, local businesses, and community, I create limited collections that celebrate the identity of a place, a story, and shared joy. My hope is that each piece sparks conversation, fosters connection, and brings warmth, personality, and a lasting sense of nostalgic whimsy into the spaces we inhabit.
